Campus Dining Meal Plans

In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2009-2010 academic year. If you need to purchase a meal plan, or
if you would like to make a change to the plan you have already selected, simply contact the Northwood Business Office at 989.837.4306. Once school has started, students have until Friday of the first week to change thier meal plans. For the Winter Term that will be Friday December 4th, 2009 at 4:00pm.

PLAN OPTIONS

If you need to select a plan, or make a change to the plan you have already selected please contact Northwood Business Office, campus 989.837.4306. Sodexo Campus Services now provides a choice of three meal plans.

  • 19 meal plan w/ $40 in points
  • 150 Create your Own Meal Plan*
  • 70 Block plan w/ $150 in points**

*The 150 Create your Own Meal Plan allows you to enjoy up to 150 meals of your choice during each term. Students can create bonus cash (flex dollars) by converting meal at the rate of $5.00 per meal to be used in all of the dining operations. You will be able to convert your meals to bonus cass two specific dates during each term.Winter term will be November 30 - December 4, 2009 and January 6-8, 2010. Converting meal plans can be done at the Food Service Office llocated in Dow Commons Lounge. Office hours are from 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

**The 70 Block plan is only available to those students living in the South or Naegele Villages. Students can use multiple meals at one time with any of the Block Plans. The board meals begin with the first meal of the day of registration and end with lunch the final day of classes in the term.

Not living on campus? We have a meal plan for you. We offer a 50 Block Meal Plan with $75 in bonus cash that can be used at all dining locations. We also have Dining Dollars that students can place money on their card and at time of usage will receive 8% discount plus pay no sales tax, an additional 6% savings. Both plans can be purchased at the Northwood Business Office located in Lower Miner.

Meal Cards
Sodexo Campus Services is responsible for the issue of Northwood ID. This ID is issued when you start at Northwood, serving you throughout your program
at Northwood.

Lost Your Meal Card?
Lose your ID card? In case of a missing ID card, you must go to the Dining Services Office. Permanently lost cards may be replace at the Business Office for a fee of $25.00.

Dietary Requirements & Sick Trays
Do you have particular dietary needs? No problem! Our Campus Dining Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information, please contact Burt McAtee, General Manager at 989.837.4241 or drop by the Dining Services Office.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What happens to meal points if I don't use them by the end of the semester?
    Points remaining at the end of each semester will be forfeited.

  • Can I feed a friend using my meal plan?
    If you are on a block plan then yes but if you have the 19 meal plan then that plan is only for you.

  • If my meal card starts to break do I need to pay for a new one?
    No, just come to the Dining Services Office with your card and we will replace it for you.

  • Where do I go to put points on my card?
    To the Business Office located in Lower Minor.

  • Do we get a new ID card every year?
    No, the card you receive at the beginning of your college career is the only free card you will receive.

  • How do I know how many meals or bonus points I have left to spend?
    Anytime you use your card the cashier can tell you your balance. You can also stop by the Dining Services Office and we can tell you at anytime what your balance is.
